Professional Career and Education
If you had met Ashley as a young child, you would never have guessed she would one day have a flourishing career in speaking and facilitation. Through a school event in second grade, Ashley discovered that despite her extreme shyness that had kept her virtually silent for eight years, she had a natural talent to mesmerize audiences. Ashley went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Arts in Communication and has spent 17 years inspiring individuals and businesses to “pour into” their teams.
Ashley believes that the success of an organization is determined by trust, effective communication, and a desire to serve others. Ashley is the Director of Training and Development for Core Insights, a training and strategic planning company whose leadership and personal development processes are used by companies across the United States.
Ashley has been enjoying life with her husband, Andy, since 1998. Although Ashley enjoys a fast-paced environment at work, she chooses a slower way of life at home. They live in a small Texas town in the country with their three children. Her family can often be found relaxing on their boat, watching the sun set on the lake, and enjoying the pine tree skyline.
Ashley connects with audiences of all ages, backgrounds, and interests. Her applicable content and engaging stories blend together to keep audiences excited to hear what is coming next. The audience will walk away motivated to take action, inspired by Ashley’s sincerity.
Participants will receive actionable information that they can put to work immediately both personally and professionally. Program length may range from a keynote to a full day.
After a thorough discussion about your audience and goals, together we’ll determine the right keynote for your group. While many groups receive a customized message, popular topics include:
Superwomen in Leadership
Many organizations are missing out on a valuable resource—women. With women comprising just 4% of corporate CEOs, 14% of executive officers, and 20% of America’s government officials, there is a persistent leadership gap. Women with high potential advance more slowly than their male peers, both in career progression and pay, even though they employ career management skills and leadership strategies similar to men’s. Organizations that neglect this critical talent-management issue risk lagging behind their competitors
in attracting, developing, and retaining the best candidates to serve as the next generation of leaders. This encouraging message for leaders and future leaders will inspire women to become Superwomen in Leadership. In this presentation, Ashley shares these insights:
• ‘Hang in there’ and prepare for jolts during the journey
• Think big, very big
• Be strong enough to get help
• Love and serve others
Leading Change in Our Ever-Changing World
Leading change is not easy. Our world is changing at a rapid pace, and our skills, technology and procedures are changing swiftly to keep up. In addition to our ever-changing environment, customers are more demanding, competition is stiffer, and employees are often less engaged. Plus, despite all these demands, many leaders are being asked to accomplish more with less. In this keynote, Ashley will focus on key
strategies to allow you to lead and influence more effectively. In this presentation, Ashley shares these insights:
• Assess your team’s readiness to successfully handle change
• Create a vision
• Communicate, communicate, communicate (and repeat if necessary)!
• Create and celebrate wins
Culture by Design
Your organization has a culture—the question is, did you intentionally take action to create the culture desired, or did the culture come into existence on its own? Culture dictates employee loyalty, production, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. It is the foundation of a thriving organization, yet it is often just left to develop on its own.
In this presentation, Ashley shares these insights:
• Decide to intentionally create your culture
• Determine what your culture is, what you want it to be, and the gaps that exist
• Create and implement a plan
Other keynote presentations include:
• Dealing With Your Blind Spots
• Taking the ‘Con’ Out of Conflict
• Coaching Tomorrow’s Leaders
